#OOC I'd like to thank the handler of Matt Knox for writing this with me.
Sinia Hospital
Baltimore, Maryland
Sometime After Chaos 98
A gray 2021 McLaren Koenigsegg Gemera pulls up outside the Sinia Hospital in Baltimore and comes to a stop right outside the main entrance. Once the engine has been turned off, the door opens, swinging upwards as it does. Revealing the driver to be “Carnage Wrestling’s Resident Bastard” Alex Winter. He was in an expensive gray tailored suit, with a gray shirt too as he stepped out of the car with a smug look upon his face. He closes the door to the car before locking it up with a button from the key fob and brushing himself down.
Alex then heads into the hospital walking up to the reception and flashes a smile to the ditzy dumb blonde on the reception of the hospital main entrance. She was on the phone which Alex didn’t take too kindly too as he took the phone from her ear and ended the call putting the phone down.
“There are more important matters to attend to right now, you’ll have to call them back. I need to know exactly where Matt Knox is. The only info I’ve been told is he is in bed 415A, so do what you got to do to tell me where to find him or you’ll be out of a job.” Once again Alex smiles at the ditzy, dumb blonde.
“I’m not sure who you are and who Matt Knox is to you but unless you do tell me, I can’t give you that information.”
“Well sweet cheeks, I’m Alex Winter but that’s Mr Winter to you. Maybe this will stop you asking questions and get you to tell me what I need to know.”
Grabbing a bundle of money from his pocket, he throws a thousand dollars down on the desk in front of her before sliding the money back into his pocket. Her eyes widen as she quickly picks it up and gets her manicured hands to work on the computer getting him the information he needed.
“Mr Winter, you’ll find him here.” She says writing the information down and passing it to him.
“Keep an eye on my car out there, I just bought it today and if anything was to happen to it I’d be rather pissed.” He grins looking at the piece of paper before sliding it into his pocket.
Heading down the hall, Alex gets to where Knox is and smirks as he stands there looking down at Knox.
“Mr Knox, are you dead yet? If not why not?” Alex jabs him in the top of the arm hard smirking as he did.
Knox stares up at Winter, eyes narrowed “Touch me again, and you will be” He rasps out, obviously doped up on morphine. He pushes himself painfully into a sitting position, face twisting into a distasteful frown “That what you came for? Get beat up by a half dead man?”
Shaking his head in disbelief, Alex sits down and makes himself comfy as he puts his feet up on Knox’s bed. “Hm. Do I need to call the nurse to up your dosage?” Alex raises an eyebrow as he questions him. “Right now you are beating no one old man, just be thankful I’m not here to hurt you further. I thought I’d do the right thing and bring you some grapes, but I’ve kind of eaten them.” Alex just gives a slight shrug.
Knox leans back, letting a chuckle escape himself “You Canadians don’t know grapes anyway. Probably bring me some bitter, chemical dusted shit that wouldn’t be used to stomp out a bottle of Boonesfarm” Knox smirks in a doped up wine country arrogance “We don’t have much to talk about, Winter. Unless you’re starting to see the light when it comes to the hole you’re digging yourself into.”
He returns his gaze to Alex then, “You do realize you’re digging, don’t you?” Alex gazes back at Knox. “I don’t care much for your tone right now Mr Knox. I’m offended by your ‘You Canadians’ remark. That’ll be dealt with accordingly another time, right now I want to ask you a question.” A sly grin appears on Alex’s face. “I could be the reason for you to be a frequent visitor to this hospital and also the reason you don’t have to be. So what do you say about joining The Wild Cards? It’d be better for your health this way and you’ll be on the winning side.”
Alex takes his feet from Matt’s bed and sits up in the chair. “This isn’t a joke Mr Knox, we both know you aren’t one of the good guys. We both also know that I have all the power here in Carnage now.” Pausing for a moment Alex runs his hand through his hair. “I’d put a stop to them masked guys too, after all do you see Insidious around anymore? There’s a greater threat now, The Wild Cards.” Smugly, Alex sits back not taking his eyes off Matt at all.
Knox peers at Alex, and smirks “You’re afraid.” he says plainly “You’re afraid of what I can do to you, aren’t you Alex? Or maybe that even if you stop me, hurt me, put me right back here I'll be right back on you as soon as I’m out” Knox sits up fully, grimacing and shooting a hand to his ribs. He continues speaking though, through grit teeth.
“I’d never join a fucking thing you started. Especially if it meant kowtowing to your punk bitch boss Chris.” He exhales sharply, looking back up and glaring at Alex “So go on, make your little friends group and let them know that I’m going to hurt each of them if they cross me the way you have. And as soon as I’m on my feet, as soon as I put Insidious down-” an amused smirk “-and it will be me, who does.”
He leans closer to Alex, locking eyes with him and stating plainly, “I’m going to break every bone in your body, and show Carnage that you, your boss, this whole setup is nothing but an absolute joke”
Alex can’t contain his laughter as he looks at the position Knox is in. “You are in no position right now to be throwing threats at me. I could take care of you right now if I wanted too, but I’m not going to take the easy option this time.” Backing away a little from Knox as he gets to his feet, he once again looks down at Knox. “I’d appreciate it if you didn’t get so close too, I’m not about to let you kiss me. I know I’m the hottest person ever to walk into this room and Carnage Wrestling but it’s a no from me.” Alex walks down to the bottom of the bed grabbing Knox’s notes and looks at them. “I’ve already broken a man's arm, and made Trent Steel a victim of The Winter of Discontent, I could quite easily make you the next victim. From your notes it looks like it would be much of a hard task either.” Alex walks back to the seat and sits down still going through Knox’s medical notes.
“You’re welcome to test that theory” Knox chimes in, continuing to push at Alex’s buttons the best he can, “This would be your best chance to put me down, Winter. Laid up and drugged up. And it still doesn’t look that great for you, in my opinion.” He has sat up completely in bed, fists resting in his lap as his eyes follow Winter.
“If you’re not going to take the chance, and become my roommate,” His lip curls upward “Are we done here? I don’t need you around if anyone who matters comes by. Much as I’d like to see Levi drop you on your head again, if you don’t have anything else to get off your chest, you can go”.
“Whatever old man. I dare you to try and punch me, please, make my day.” Alex smirks as he starts to tear up Knox’s medical notes. “You see how easy it is to tear these up? That’s just how easy it’d be to put you out of action permanently.” Now getting back to his feet, Alex throws the torn up medical notes all over Knox.
“Prove it” is all Knox says now, in a low and dangerous tone. One hand reaches up and begins popping the heart monitors off of his chest, eyes locked on Alex, “Come on Winter. Put me out of action right now. It’s the only shot you’ve got, Alex,” He finishes with the monitors before heading to his IV, a light has gone off over his bed but he tunes out the bell, “If you’re too much of a punk bitch, just say so. But if you don’t take this opportunity, Alex, I'm going to make your life hell. Starting at Ninety-Nine”
Unsure what to make of what Knox was doing, Alex takes a step back and smirks. “You really are stupid aren’t you?” Alex doesn’t even give Knox a chance to reply as he takes the opportunity and clocks him in the jaw with a hell of a right. “You asked for this, it didn’t have to be this way.” The sound of the bell ringing brings nurses and doctors running towards the room. Alex sees this and spits down at Knox on the floor before leaving. “Please help Mr Knox, I think he needs help to sleep or whatever, he is going crazy in there and just fallen over.” Making a quick exit, Alex looks over his shoulder as they rush into where Knox is as Alex heads over around the corner and out of there.
Knox tries to shove past the Nursing assistants at first but calms down all too quickly as he starts to laugh out loud for the first time in weeks. The morphine in his system prevents him from registering the pain that reverberates through his ribs as he’s placed back in the bed and they begin hooking him up again. A white coat comes in and injects him with a sedative, he remains laughing as he drifts off stopping only to utter “They’re already dead” before the medicine forces him under.
