Wrestlers Name: Will Prydor
Nicknames/Aliases: The Phoenix (no longer used)
Desired Picture Base: Bully Ray
Age: 39
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 271 lbs
Hometown: Bel Air, Maryland
Your Wrestlers Biography:
For nearly two decades, Will Prydor made a name for himself as the most unlikely technical wrestler in the business. Eschewing the traditional "fat man" moveset for a style based heavily on submissions and technical wrestling, Will worked on the independent scene for a few years before breaking into the big time with New Legends of Wrestling (NLW) in 2008. Later that year, he was involved with the cross-promotional feud with Outsiders Wrestling Federation (OWF), where he gained fame as being the person to have the most successful defenses of the OWF Public Display of Aggression title, with 5 defenses.
He was put out of action with a broken neck in April of 2009 by the OWF Champion at the time, Jesse Williams, He would return to NLW when they reopened in late 2009, and by the close of the year Will would win his first World title by avenging his loss to Jesse Williams to claim the NLW Championship...only to lose it three minutes later to JC thanks to shenanigans from the owner of NLW, Jack Sullivan. Short though it may have been, that title run made Will only the second person in NLW history to hold every championship.
In 2010, Will formed his own promotion, The League of Professional Wrestling ("The League" for short). Unlike traditional wrestling promotions, The League was set up to emulate other pro sports by having seasons, a set schedule, and playoffs to determine a champion. This lasted for seven seasons, became a mild success in an otherwise crowded field of professional wrestling promotions, and Will sold the rights off in 2012 after much internal debate.
He faded out of the spotlight until February of 2016, when he made a surprise return to OWF to enter their Quest for the Best tournament. Three months later, Will retired after a match with Jesse Williams, and put to rest his long-standing moniker of The Phoenix. Immediately thereafter, he assumed play by play duties for NLW, holding the commentary position until their tour ended in July of 2016.
August 2016 found him returning to the ring and to OWF, this time teaming with the daughter of Jesse Williams to face Tweeder and Amy Jo Smyth for the OWF World Tag Team titles. He and Cassadra Carmichael were victorious...only to lose the titles minutes later to a surprise points cash in from Redemption and Angel. Will talked Cassandra out of an immediate rematch, knowing that even with his expertise she'd be in over her head. He was going to suggest a January rematch to Cass, but before he could do so OWF closed up shop. Hearing Cass talk about going to Carnage Wrestling, Will decided that even at the twilight of his career, he could start over one last time, if only to watch Cass's career take off now that she was out of the father's shadow.
But Carmichael never showed up. Left on his own once more, Prydor would enter CW to follow the time-honored tradition of using his name and experience to get the next generation of wrestlers over. He originally came to CW not asking or even wanting shots at their titles. Fate would have other plans for him, however. Considered an "officially unofficial" member of The Rogues alongside JC and Trent Steel, Prydor would team with Steel to capture the CW Tag Team titles, though the reign would be brief. Will would go on, in some consider one of the bigger upsets in Carnage history, to dethrone the longest-reigning Ultraviolent Champion, "The Sandtown Kid" Lucas Silva en route to his second piece of gold in CW. It was no secret that he had decided if he got to three defenses that he would take the Highroad Clause and go after the one thing that still eluded him after so many years: an actual, legit world title reign. The former president of Carnage Wrestling, Jason Bridges, tried to fabricate ways to keep Prydor from getting the match, but six contendership points were the only reply Will needed.
And on January 21, 2018, Prydor finally reached the summit, defeating Amy Jo Smyth in a Submission match to become only the second person to hold both the Carnage World and Ultraviolent Championships simultaneously. From here, it would all be downhill for Prydor, who was unceremoniously screwed out of his world title by Jason Bridges, and Prydor never seemed to fully recover mentally from that. He'd have some success, but would never again hold one of the major titles in Carnage. He retired (or was fired by Bridges, depending on how you view things) in February of 2019, after losing a Title vs. Career match to Jack Michaels. He's made few appearances on CW programming since, most recently being inducted into the Hall of Legends in early 2020.
Now officially retired from active competition at the age of 39, Prydor owns and operates his own wrestling school, The Aerie School of Professional Wrestling, at his home in Bel Air, Maryland, along with former CW flash-in-the-pan Amelia Midnight. Prydor is married to Tori Montgomery-Prydor and has two children, Elyssa Lynne (3) and William II (who turns one in October 2020).
Desired Starting Alignment: Babyface
Will's always been a face, one short run in 2009 aside, and that's not changing anytime soon.
Entrance Music: "Rise" by Sixx:A.M.
Entrance Description:
Darkness engulfs the arena, not changing for a few seconds before the speakers finally come to life.
RISE!

RISE!
Get yourselves together!
RISE!
Hands up, hands up high!
Sixx:A.M.'s "Rise" fully kicks in at this point, and a spotlight shines at the top of the entranceway to reveal Will Prydor, who lets out his traditional battle cry of "For the Fallen" to the rafters above. Then, lowering his head to stare at the ring, one can see the focus intensify on his face as he strides to the ring in time with the beat of the song, preparing himself for yet one more battle in a career filled with them.
Move Set: (Optional)
Multiple variants of suplexes (German, dragon, overhead belly to belly, teardrop, slingshot, stalling, brainbuster, etc.)
Moves that focus on a limb or body part, depending on his strategy for that match.
All manner of submission holds--Will's a submission specialist after all.
Signature Moves:
Dragon Screw Leg Whip: Exactly as it sounds. Usual set-up move for his primary finisher.
Immolation: A Death Valley Driver.
Lacrymosa: A stalling brainbuster suplex.
Finisher(s):
Blaze of Glory (primary finisher): Grapevined Ankle Lock submission, usually preceded by an armbar takedown.
Eternal Requiem: Stretch Muffler
Requiescat (Desperation Finisher): A Pop-up DDT, a la Kevin Owens' Pop-up Powerbomb.
In situations where submissions aren't in play, either the Immolation or Lacrymosa have been known to be utilized as finishing moves without resorting to the Requiescat.

Advanced Match Writing Aides(Optional)
Prydor's a technical mastermind. He always tries to think a couple of moves ahead and usually studies any available footage of his opponent(s) to come up with a defensive gameplan. He's also known to tank a few blows if he thinks the confidence will lull his opponent into a mistake he can take advantage of.
On offense, he usually works the legs/ankles to set up for the Blaze of Glory but when his opponents seem to have prepared for that he'll work on the back to set up Eternal Requiem. If both of those fail to work he's not afraid to go to the arm, or the neck, or some other strategy where his submission and technical skills shine.
Of note is that Prydor will never use the top rope for a move. No splashes, flying clotheslines, superplexes, nada. A fall from the top rope is how he broke his neck in 2009 and since returning to the ring he's made it a point to avoid going upstairs if he can possibly help it.
Will's known for wrestling clean bouts; he doesn't resort to dirty tactics unless it's an extremely rare occurrence and prefers to stay inside the ropes with his matches. In hardcore bouts, naturally, this goes out the window.
Speaking of hardcore bouts, Will tries to avoid them when possible as they're not his forte. However, since these are known to happen he's developed a habit of dual-wielding kendo sticks in such matches. Usually having to defend against two weapons at once gives Will the advantage but it's still not natural for him.
Power (Slamming and Striking): 6
