Pausing, she finished off the last bite of Pocky. He spoke in fantastical terms that she didn't really grasp. Everything seemed absolute in what he was geared towards. On the other hand, Adrienne had no clue what the end goal of this was. What she was ultimately trying to prove. Not only that, she was sometimes perplexed by the motives of others. Sort of overwhelmed, she needed to step away for just a moment.
"And I certainly will try to, Kohaku. Forgive me, but I have to go back to class."
That last word had a tinge of sarcasm on it. But a cursory look a nearby clock indicated that she would be late if she hung out here any longer.
"Yup. Me and Silvio, Silvio and I. Personally I couldn't be happier. Have you ever been in the ring with someone and found by almost serendipitous coincidence that your styles, personalities, everything, just clicked? It's fate, it has to be, and I don't intend on letting divine providence slip through my paws."
Divine providence. Heh. Nice choice of words, Ko. You've still got that sword of Damocles hanging over your fuzzy orange noggin. Still have that cat slinking around to remind you that you do.
He looked pensive for just a moment before shaking it off, and he was just as cheerful as ever.
"I hope you plan on watching our grand debut. If nothing else, we'll make it worth watching by being easy on the eyes. By Inari, that boy is a dreamboat."
"Gosh, Ko, my ears are burning."
Silvio glanced at Adrienne as she departed, waving as she passed with a little, 'hi!' and a smile. Looking back to his tag partner, he raised an eyebrow, grinning.
Adrienne stopped, and she didn't want to be rude. But curiosity overcame her. Her sneakers squeaked again as she turned back towards these two. Her intent was Silvio Leon for the moment. Time was a ticking but this had to be asked.
"Sorry for interrupting but ...Mr. Leon..."
She had to stop that habit but being so formal was first and foremost in her mind.
"Those readings."
The gears turned as Levi contemplated her words.
"Do they come in a less scary flavor?"
Scary in the way that they were used to bludgeon the psyche of his opponents. He was no doubt a very kind man but part of her wanted this maybe a little scary to hear. Being told that she was ... well, not satisfactory in the ring had made her hungry to know if there was more to her.
"I'm sorry if that sounds rude of me. And ... if so how much?"
She was hoping it was less than 11 dollars ... no, 9, she broke the ten dollar bill for a bag of Doritos earlier.

Silvio turned to listen, nodding at her request.
"Well, I mean, how scary they are depends on the question being asked or the fortune in store. But I don't just use them for promos, if that's what you're asking. I can totally do a reading for you. And, hey, you can call me Silvio - it's cool!" Holding up a hand, he offered her a little smile. "Don't worry about money. No charge. Happy to do it whenever you have a minute. I actually brought my deck 'cuz Jenova...or Maggie? She was asking about it."

"Geez, she's adorable."
Kohaku chuckled as he watched the young woman take off, waving after her before turning back to his shiny new partner.
"Though I think you might be even cuter, to be honest. I was hoping you'd turn up, Silver Lion. I wanted to ask you if you wanted to partake in that coffee date now, or is it a bad time?"
His grin was a very charming blend of coy and sly.

Matthew was, as he had been for the past few days since returning from the desert, waiting in the training area. His mind is off in a few different places. The upcoming match, the upcoming pay per view, his new protege, what happened out in the desert..
"Come on Levi, where are you?"he mumbles to the relatively quiet room. He is seated or perched if you will upon the top rope, facing the entrance

Adrienne knew she was late. Dreaded the very slow Uber ride over. Burst into the warehouse, nearly tripping head over heels onto the floor. Proclaiming to whoever was present...
“I’m here, I’m here! ... just was at the arena ... for stuff.”

Matthew quirked an eyebrow at her, he waved the excuse off almost instantly and slid off his perch, walking to meet her at the ropes and leaning over them as he spoke, resting his long pale arms on the very top rope "No excuses. Come on now. Just means you gotta be here later than usual"
Knox leans against the top rope, taking one lap across the ring. His long legs made it a two and a half stride trip. Step Step Step-Pivot. Grab the top rope. Lean. Launch. Step Step Step-Pivot.. He stopped though, heading to a corner as he spoke again"So where'd we leave off?"

“One moment,” rushing off to the bathroom, she hurriedly changed into her workout gear, well, ring attire. Her purple long sleeved top, black leggings, and the beat up boots that were a half a size too big for her but ... well they were free.
Back out, she answered...
“What’s next? Uh, the lesson where I don’t feel like I’m gonna puke afterwards.”
She walked alongside the ring, walking Matt’s movements.

Matthew chuckles at her comment for a moment. He's dressed in a wife beater and black basketball shorts. Hands and wrists taped, and noticeably barefoot
"They'll all be that lesson in no time. You're coming along great" he leans forward, resting his hands upon his knees and looking her in the face "You're just sloppy with the details. I couldn't nail a Tornado DDT like yours even today." A compliment. Genuine like the rest
"We just gotta work on lowering the risk of you missing the ropes and hanging yourself up when you go to leap and propel. Turn you from..." he considered a metaphor "From buckshot to a slug. That works"
The tornado DDT. That’s “what” she used to escape the clutches of LRK. Watching it back, she was spun around and in desperation, she wrapped an arm around the tree trunk of a neck that King possessed and used his momentum to spike his skull into the mat.
Actually intending to execute the move was a different matter.
“I’m not sure what I’m doing out there. It’s a fight so I’ve always understood that you try to survive what the other person is capable of.”
That’s how Danny did it.
With a bit of trepidation, she climbed up into the ring, rolling under the bottom rope. Getting to her feet, she flipped her hair back out of her. face.

"Hair up"He instructed her first, tying his own hair back into what would be considered a 'man bun'. He moves back to his corner to start, he grabs onto the top rope and hauls himself up to sit on the turnbuckle, leaning forward"Alright, warm up. Run the ropes until I say stop. And stay on your toes i'm feeling froggy today, truant"
He produced a joint and his zippo, sparking up as he watched her tie her hair up and begin running the ropes like she had been. Her steps were obviously smaller than his own. As he took a drag, exhaling the smoke through his nose he counted them. One two three-pivot rebound on two three-pivot rebound..
After a good dozen or so, and she was up to speed he barked out"Alright Tornado Flippy DDT Rat Killer, instead of grabbing onto that top rope and rebounding I want you to hop onto the middle rope, hop off, run to the other side and do it again. Until I say stop or you decide never to be late again"
One two three hop. He made an impressed face, as she nailed her target each time. Obviously setting out to make his analysis of her look foolhardy. He mused, as the green creeper took hold, what son of a bitch broke her down so low that she wasn't walking around with the confidence of an Amber Ryan or Kyra Johnson. She was just as good as them. "Alright, now that you're obviously listening to every word I say, and i've convinced you that I know what i'm doing I'm gonna address something. Keep running"He flicked the roach out onto the concrete"This isn't just a fight. Most fights last maybe thirty seconds. We get in this ring, it's with genetic freaks, and monsters. You know that first hand. Even if you're a match, we're all so bright and conditioned that we've made ourselves able to go and go and go and go. So don't think of it like a fight. Think of it like chess"He slid down, and began jogging beside her as he spoke to get his heart rate up
"Every move matters, Levi. Every movement, even. You know why arm bars exist? You ever seen anyone tap to one? No. It's a way to keep the son of a bitch in one place while you catch your breath. Your big issue, or one of them, is you only learned how to use the gas pedal. Never the brake, or the clutch. At Underground, all I saw out of you was kill shots. Look at me and Jon Willis. When you and Poppy had your moment, you really think our bells were so rung we were really incapacitated for a minute? No, we were layin by the chairs getting our breathing right and finding another wind. Slow down, find your second wind and even trees as big as that Rat guy will be easy to chop down"
Adrienne sat at the learning tree. Well, not actually sat. Huffing and puffing, she listened intently in between the action and drills.
But she understood the ring. She understood why sometimes things happened and no, she didn't know the names for everything. She at first called what she did a spinny head drop. But having seen it, it was a natural response to being ragdolled. But she knew why she wanted to go so fast. She was scared that if the contest went too long, she'd be exposed. She was exposed against Regina just for that. Adrienne had managed to figure her out and then ... just got lost.
People mistake LRK's style. She looked into his eyes. All of that anger and screaming didn't match that he slowed Adrienne down and stopped any efforts for anything drastic. He caught her and didn't let go unless it was for a huge throw.
But she spoke up, too.
Out of respect that he respected her, she had waited until the drills were relatively over. She broke the ice as she sat crossed legged in the ring.
"So ... Bert isn't your trainer."
