New Wrestler Application
Wrestlers Name: Jack Michaels
Nicknames/Aliases: "The Blast"
Desired Picture Base: (Please consult the Taken Picture Base thread.) Short hair Rick Rude
Age: 53
DOB: March 12th, 1967
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 250 lbs
Hometown: Las Vegas, NV
Your Wrestlers Biography:
Hero. Legend. Icon. These are just a few of the words used to describe the former boxer turned wrestler known as "The Blast". From 1997 until 2005, Jack was one of the most beloved and successful pro wrestlers in history with decisive victories over the best in the business during that run. A member of 7 halls of fame, Jack opted to semi retire in 2005 while at the top of his game in Extreme Wrestling Entertainment to raise a family and focus on his newly opened Mean Machine School of Wrestling. It wasn't until nearly a decade later at the age of 48 that Jack made a full fledged comeback to the sport and eventually became the EWE Undisputed Champion. Breaking the longevity record for EWE, he held that prestigious title until the fed closed.
As his 50th birthday approached, Jack found himself wondering what his next move would be. As the world changed around him, Jack funded High Stakes Wrestling as a way to try and bring back the moral code of honor and dedication so lacking in the modern game. His vision was unrealized, however, as more and more wrestlers became fly by night sensations and only furthered the disgust he had. Once again, Jack Michaels found himself lacing up the boots and winning the HSW World Title with his new stable Paragon. He soon gave up his share in the company and, within a few months, financial problems with the replacement stake holders forced HSW to close under the new management.
Jack used his wealth and school to continue and act as the defacto figurehead of the Paragon stable. Originally coaxed by his HSW Paragon member Amber Ryan, Jack soon found himself in Carnage Wrestling to support his vision as well as looking to bring whatever he had left in the tank to the Baltimore promotion. Within a few short months Jack made an impact by winning Ultimate Carnage 3's Wargames and solidifying himself as a true threat to be reckoned with even at his age.
Over the course of 2018, Jack took on a supporting role to Amber and began working with other wrestlers who saw the same problems Jack found with wrestling. Although in stark contrast with other talent over time, the Carnage Legion began to warm up to the aging superstar and supported him as he and Amber won the CW Tag Team title belts. This made him the oldest man to ever hold a title in Carnage and gave a legitimacy to the Paragon stable. Jack went on to earn even more respect from the Legion with a victory over the UltraViolent Icon Tweeder which gave Jack his first taste of singles gold within the company.
Towards the middle of 2018, tragedy struck as a serious injury befell Amber Ryan and that left Jack alone as the sole leader of the stable. Following coaxing by his then fiancee Kyra Johnson and the other members of Paragon, Jack set his sights on the Carnage World title. At Ultimate Carnage 4, Jack won the Elimination Chamber and became the new Carnage World champion; a title in which he held for an astounding 517 days. During that time, Jack faced off and beat the best Carnage had to offer with victories over the likes of former World champions Melody Lennox, Amy Jo Smyth, Will Prydor, and Carnage mainstays like JC, Brian Crucifix and more. Jack even won a 2nd run with the UltraViolent title following a truly vicious title vs. title cage match with Myra Lynwood at Act of Defiance 2019.
After losing the World Title to Amber Ryan at Isolation 2020 and a separation from Kyra, Jack opted to once again retire from wrestling with the feeling that he had nothing left to offer the sport. He soon found himself sinking into a depression as being away from the sport left him feeling hollow. It was after four months that Jack decided he would do some local wrestling for charity and casually become involved in Carnage as an ambassador and guest commentator for Amber's upcoming title defense against Ken Davison. It was here that his whole demeanor changed when Ken attacked his daughter after the match was over.
Jack made an official comeback at Chaos 100 where he and Ken faced off in a throw in the towel match with nothing on the line but honor and pride. Although suffering the loss in a truly brutal match, Jack proved he could still hold his own against the best in the sport. With a new outlook on wrestling and a feeling he could still give something back to the sport, Jack signed back with the company with hopes of finding his happiness once again.
