I woke up around ten in the morning. The morning after my match. Mameha let me sleep in for once. I'm sure she sensed there was a lot on my mind. She always noticed.
I would go take a quick shower and dress in my Dragon Lady gear. Before Mameha began training today I had one thing I was sure I wanted to do after my night of rest.
I took off for the front door to leave and Mameha was there. She gave me a smile and hugged me. Then she said, "Do what you need to do. When you get back it's training time."
I hugged Mameha tightly as she spoke into my ears. "I'll be back shortly. I have one thing I need to do."
With that we let go of each other and I took off for the cab I called to pick me up to take me to The Carnage Arena. The man driving kept looking at me in the rear view mirror. He remained silent until we arrived at our destination.
I tried to hand him cash and he refused. "You don't pay me a cent! The Dragon Lady rides for free with me today! You did some amazing tricks and kicks. Pay-per-view last night was worth every damned penny. I'm rooting for you and so is my daughter. Can I get an autograph for her?"
I'm shocked… and well, flattered. I smiled under my mask and took the piece of paper and pen the cab driver offered me. "Why… sure. I can do that. What's your daughter's name?"
"Her name is Ruby."
I smiled at that. Then wrote on the piece of paper,
I walked through the parking lot, unaware still about Thor and the ninja party that had waited for him in the darkness after the show. I let that fire in my own heart lead the way.
10 minutes later...
The Dragon Lady sits in a steel chair in the center of CWs ring. She stares at a camera with an ice cold stare. If Alex could see under her mask he would have seen a scowl there.
"You know I may be new to the roster. You might not see me as a threat. Especially since I lost my first match last night. Most people on the roster probably think I am just a rookie trying to prove something to everyone by challenging you to a fight right now."
She scoffs. "I want to fight you because you have done something no one else in this league has been able to do to me yet, Alex Winter. You piss me off. You should be damned impressed with yourself considering we have not even met. Right now, you're in need of being humbled. And if you think you're so big, bad, and tough after the way you beat Matthews in your last match… well shame on you."
She stands and puts her fists up and stands in a fighting position. "If nothing scares you. Then why be afraid to accept my challenge. A challenge from a woman at that. Let's see who is still standing after I'm through with you. And let me be frank, I am not scared of you… coward."
The camera goes dark after a moment more of focusing on The Dragon Lady's eyes.

Stay brave Ruby. Even when it's hard. Always let the fire in your heart lead the way.
